Maree Stoubos is Girl About Town’s fearless ‘Girl Boss.’ After studying a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) in 2008, she went on the adventure of a life time, undertaking a public relations internship in New York. Maree worked for high end fashion designer Brian Reyes, styling for the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Rachel Bilson.
After the bright lights of New York city, Maree returned home to work for a major Adelaide based PR agency, where she established herself as a Senior Account Manager. During her four years at the agency she managed the accounts for national brands including David Jones, Harris Scarfe, Westfield and the Good Food & Wine Show, as well as local brands including The Curious Squire, The Collins Bar, the Chiropractor’s Association of South Australia and the South Australian Jockey Club.
In 2014 Maree stepped out on her own, launching Adelaide’s leading lifestyle public relations agency, Girl About Town. The thirty-one-year-old has brought her fresh and edgy approach to the communications industry, always thinking outside the square with events, activations, digital, promotions, social media and marketing. Heading into it’s fourth year of business, Girl About Town has flourished, with an extensive client base including David Jones, Westfield, Republic, The Oxford, The Tower Hotel, bingboy, Cotto, Coltish Boutique, the 2014 Adelaide Fashion Festival and the Leukemia Foundation, to name a few.
When she’s not in the office or racing around at events, Maree loves staying active, running her own dance company Bellarouge and coaching local cheerleaders. Maree is passionate about helping others, becoming a committee member for both the Salvation Army and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Laura Martino – Publicist
The vivacious Laura Martino joined the Girl About Town team in 2014 and quickly became our go-to-girl. The bright twenty-three-year-old excelled in her bachelor of journalism degree, travelling to Italy to tackle the language and lifestyle as part of her international relations course. Laura earned her journalism credentials, working as a presenter at Fresh 92.7 and forging strong connections through industry internships at Channel 9, Channel 10 and the Advertiser.
When a position became available at Adelaide’s leading lifestyle agency, Laura took the opportunity with both hands. The accomplished PR coordinator has earned her stripes, working with fashion industry elites including David Jones, Jaimie Sortino, Burnside Village, Westfield and managing the accounts of hospitality leaders bingboy and Cotto Espresso.
In her spare time, Laura loves being active, dancing and performing. She’s also an avid traveler, jet setting her way through Europe.
Alyce James-Tronnolone – Public Relations Coordinator
Alyce James Tronnolone joined the Girl About Town team in 2016 and it wasn’t long before she spread her wings as our social ‘media’ butterfly. The clever twenty-two-year-old shone in her Bachelor of Media degree, jetting off to Florance to study Media and Communications for the Fashion Industry at the European Institute of Design. It was this adventure of a lifetime that opened her eyes to the world of PR. Alyce worked in the luxury fashion industry abroad and back home, before cementing her role as a public relation’s coordinator at Girl About Town.
She brings to the team a background in graphic design, an expertise in social media and a keen eye for detail. The determined PR coordinator has earned her credentials, working with industry elites including David Jones, Westfield and Clarence Frank Australia.
When she’s out of the office, Alyce loves to stay active, and is passionate about all things fashion, food and travel. This year, she was bitten by the travel bug, venturing on a two-month tour of Europe and America.
